A selection of color and black & white place value activity mats with a Winter theme. These place value activity mats cover numbers 1 - 50.
This pack includes a full color and black and white version of each number mat between 1 and 50.
Pupils can select a mat, read the number then use materials such as unifix cubes, base ten materials or even loose parts to build/represent the number given making sure they show the correct amount of tens and ones.
How to use this resource
As there are 50 different mats, this place value activity can be used with your entire class. This activity can also be used with smaller groups or Math Centers. These tens and ones mats can be laminated or placed into dry erase pockets ensuring they can be used over and over again giving your students plenty of opportunities to develop their place value knowledge!
Don't worry if you do not have any cubes or base ten materials available. A fun alternative would be to use loose parts such as shells, stones etc to build your numbers.
